Goal Zero Lantern Goal Zero introduced a combination LED solar-powered lantern and USB charging hub at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City earlier this year. The 250-lumen LED provides up to 48 hours of light off a single charge and you will also be able to charge any USB device such as your smartphone, tablet or GPS gear.

The Lighthouse 250 Lantern features an adjustable dial, so you can control the brightness as well as the battery usage. The lantern itself can be recharged through its USB outlet. They would work great using one of Goal Zero’s portable solar kits for example. It even has a built in hand-crank so you will still be able to re-charge the lantern in emergency situations.

The The Lighthouse 250 Goal Zero Lantern will be available in early 2014.
